K. Terry Jackson Jr. has been serving LHA as Shoreline Development Committee Chair, vice-president, and acting president. The Board of Directors named Terry as our new president effective January 1. Ray Fedele, after serving almost ten years as LHA President, has decided it is time to step down and focus on family. Ray will remain active on the Board as past-president and a member of the Executive Committee. Like many Hartwell Lake residents, Terry and his wife, Ellen, arrived here in 2007 after living in various places. Terry had a rewarding 35 years working in the automotive industry. Most of his career was with General Motors, based out of the Detroit area, as well as a couple of international assignments. Terry has always been a lake enthusiast and has been active on lakes since his early teenage years. He still water skis somewhat regularly during the summer and has his USCG Captain’s License. Terry and Ellen joined LHA in 2016 and followed LHA’s progress via the newsletters. At a Spring 2021 meeting regarding a local lake issue, Terry became an active advocate for Lake Hartwell. By the Fall of 2021, he responded to a request for LHA volunteers and joined the Shoreline Development Committee. In February of 202,3 Terry was elected vice president and president-elect in addition to Shoreline Management Chair.
Please join us in welcoming Terry Jackson, the new President of LHA, who will guide us into the next chapter!
