On Saturday April 22, 2023 over 250 people helped in cleaning up the shoreline and islands of Lake Hartwell. The event was staged from 7 different landings and state parks around the lake. People pitched in and picked up trash and all kinds of abandoned items like metal chairs, tires, and camping debris. Many students from area schools and colleges participated along with families and community groups. Our next big clean up event will be in September so check out our website for an announcement.
